Hello and welcome to Year 3!
I hope you are all doing well and staying safe. We miss you lots and are looking forward to seeing you back at school in the future.
Keep sending in your photographs of all the fantastic home learning you are doing - we are very proud of you.
GOODBYE YEAR 3!
Dear Y3 parents,
Congratulations on making it to the end of a very difficult term! Thank you to those of you that have sent in children’s work, kept us up to date with your news and have asked after me, and also to those of you that are keyworkers and have been bringing your children into school each week.
Most of the websites will continue to show the previously uploaded lessons and some will be uploading new things to do over the summer for those of you that want to continue learning during the holidays, but there is no requirement for you to do so. Mrs Evans should have sent you some information about the Summer Reading Challenge…do please keep reading with your children throughout the summer.
Mr Shingler sent out a letter yesterday and will send out further information regarding what to do in September.

Dear Y3 children,
Well done on making it to the end of Year 3! I have really missed seeing your cheeky faces every day, and I might even have missed hearing your noisy voices!
I am SO proud of you and the way your work, behaviour and confidence all improved this year, but am even more proud of you for working so hard without your teachers and being brave this term. I know you will be absolutely FANTASTIC with your new teacher in Year 4 and I can’t wait to spot you around school again in September.
Thank you so much for your lovely work and messages - I have LOVED reading them. Don’t forget to thank the people who have been helping you with your work during the Summer term too!
Things will be a bit different when we go back in September, but your teachers will explain everything to you and Mr Shingler will keep us all updated on any changes. Don’t feel scared to talk to your family and friends about your feelings.
I have attached a poem and a picture that I made for you as a little end of year present. I hope you like them and that they remind you of some of the things we have done in Year 3!
Miss Askey and Miss Fox also send their best wishes and I know they have really missed you too.
Have a lovely summer! Please read lots of interesting books, play outside, help parents with jobs where you can and take care of yourselves and your families.
